Model 2b, Inputs
Model 2b, created from model 2a with these modifications, was given an EOCD AMPA synapse input with reversal potential of 0mV, t -decay of 2.7ms, and maximum conductance of 0.00027m S (figure 22). An NMDA component of the EOCD chemically carried input to the granular cell, with reversal potential of 0mV, t -decay of 40ms, and maximum amplitude of 6 x 10-5m S, was included to provide baseline depolarization at the longer time window of bursting exhibited in the intrinsically controlled model (figure 22). The chemical components of the primary afferent input for this model were identical to those of the EOCD input except for a slightly lower maximum AMPA conductance in the primary afferent input (0.00025m S). Additionally, the primary afferent delivered an electrical synaptic input with a duration of 3ms and amplitude of 0.004nA (figure 22).
