Preliminary Model: Regulation of Bursting

Burst onset, offset, spike number, and relative spike attenuation during the burst were shown to vary as a function of maximum I-KCa (figure 5a), I-NaP (figure 5b), and I-KM (figure 5c) conductances, and, importantly for the current model of ELL granular cells, as a function of the amplitude of the injected current (figure 5d). Burst length and spike number were at a local maxima with default ionic conductance levels, since varying each of the above-mentioned parameters in either a positive or negative direction tended to decrease these dependent measures (figures 5a-5d).
